Tahrir Square resistanceAdd to Lightbox Download
Pro-democracy protesters were forced to defend their sit-in protest at Tahrir Square when plainclothes security officers and supporters of then President Hosni Mubarak attacked on 2 February. The street battles lasted almost two days before Mubarak's forces were driven away. A pro-democracy protester tries to call for a halt to clashes with Muabarak's forces across the street. The Egyptian army stands in the middle.
