Less than two weeks before Lebanese go to the polls to elect a new parliament, leaders of the various parties that make up the governing March 14 coalition met in Beirut's Bristol Hotel to reaffirm their partnership. The meeting was attended by dozens of political leaders including Sunni Muslim leader of the Future Movement, Saad Hariri, and Druze leader, Walid Jumblatt. The upcoming parliamentary elections are important in that they put the pro-Western March 14 alliance against the Hizballah-led March 8 alliance. Saad Hariri said earlier in the day, that he refuses to join any coalition with the resistance and political group, who is supported by Iran and Syria. ///Twenty-six year old Nayla Tueni, deputy manager of An-Nahar newspaper and parliamentary candidate signs the March 14 unity statement at the end of the coalition's meeting.
