The Antimano barrio is one of the poorest barrios in Caracas and is overwhelmingly supportive of the Chavez government. Colorful houses such as these, stacked one on top of the other are characteristic of Antimano and much of Caracas. However they pose a danger to their residents who are faced with the threat of mudslides during heavy rains and earthquakes.
